Davidcito, who will pause his tour to hang around with the audience, will reveal how he became a great artist thanks to the support of Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico. The show, a special virtual event organized by Teatro Breve to benefit BGCPR, features his music, comedy and unique charisma.

Teatro Breve, a Puerto Rican theater company, has always explored new forms of artistic creation, using humor to present situations that resonate with their audiences on the island, diaspora and beyond. One of its best known characters is Davidcito “El de la voz fina”, meticulously created by the renowned actress Marisé “Tata” Álvarez, who brings 16 years of experience and achievements in theater, film, television, music and radio, and an outstanding record representing Puerto Rico on international stages.

Marisé Álvarez and Teatro Breve join forces in this special event in support of over 12,000 children and youth who receive educational and comprehensive development services at 11 Clubs located from Vieques to Mayagüez and managed by the non-profit organization Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico (BGCPR).

“Jangueo Obliga’o” is an opportunity for entertainment and laughter, as well as raising hope in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has particularly affected the vulnerable populations served by BGCPR.

“We are enthusiastic about the participation of Davidcito who, through his own history in one of our Clubs and with his unique humorous style, will portray the reality our children and youth live through. Although this story is a personification, he will communicate how our programs and services help our children and youth obtain the tools that develop their potential to the fullest and assure they have a great future,” said Olga Ramos Carrasquillo, president of Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico.
