SAN JUAN, August 13, 2021 \u2013 This year, the federal Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) decided to increase the educational service providers of the Head Start and Early Head Start centers in San Juan, to include three non-profit organizations as administrators. The organizations, Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico, Centros Sor Isolina Ferr\u00e9 and the Network for the Rights of Children and Youth of Puerto Rico have a long history of supporting Puerto Rican children.<\/span><\/p>\n

For this reason, the three organizations are joining forces to host a Job Fair from August 18 to 21 to recruit employees of their respective pre-school education centers in the San Juan. Boys & Girls Clubs will have Head Start and Early Head Start centers in the Sabana Llana Norte, R\u00edo Piedras and Santurce areas. Centros Sor Isolina Ferr\u00e9 will cover Alejandrino, San Fernando, Vista Hermosa, Villa Espa\u00f1a, Caimito and Cupey. The Network, for its part, will manage preschool centers located in Barrio Obrero, Santurce, Calle Hoare, Las Monjas and Hato Rey.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Job Fair, held over three days, has the purpose of recruiting the group of specialized professionals required by the Head Start and Early Head Start programs. Those interested in working in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico areas will be interviewed on August 18 and must apply now through bgcpr.org\/empleos. Those selected for interview must bring a resume and be prepared for a professional interview.<\/span><\/p>\n

On August 19 will be the interviews by Centros Sor Isolina Ferr\u00e9. Those interested can send resumes to: jobs@csifpr.org. That day they should bring their resume and be prepared for the interview.<\/span><\/p>\n

On August 20, interviews will be with the Network for the Rights of Children and Youth. Those interested should send their resume to: jobs@ninezpr.org. Virtual interviews will be coordinated with the selected candidates.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, on August 21, the three organizations will continue the interviews with those interested in being part of their staff.<\/span><\/p>\n

Former employees of the centers while they were operated by the municipality of San Juan have the opportunity to participate in the interviews and have received invitations to apply at the Job Fair.
