This event, which brought together amateur and professional golfers like Andrew Eigner, aimed to raise funds to support the organization’s various educational, socio-emotional support, and holistic development programs for children and youth through 25 service centers across Puerto Rico.

The day was marked by friendly competition, with players demonstrating their skills and solidarity with the development of our children and youth, as well as their commitment to the well-being of Puerto Rico. Additionally, on hole 18, professional player Andrew Eigner, 2023 Amateur World Long Drive Champion, demonstrated some tricks to improve the game.

“This tournament not only allowed us to enjoy a day of golf, but also to share and connect with allies who support the development of our children and youth. We are grateful to the sponsors and participants who made this event possible and helped us reach our fundraising goal. We also thank Brett Finn, president of our Board of Directors, who for the second consecutive year organized this tournament to benefit our programs, which last year served over 16,000 children and youth in our service centers,” said Alma Frontera, president of BGCPR.

The event featured 135 participants and the collaboration of various local and international companies that supported the event through sponsorships and donations. During the awards ceremony, moderated by agronomist and communicator Douglas Candelario, valuable prizes were raffled off, and a piece of art created by Puerto Rican woodturner Tito Suárez was auctioned. The trophies awarded to the winners in the different categories were created by youth from the digital fabrication lab of the Boys & Girls Club in Isabela.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico (BGCPR) successfully held the second edition of its charity golf tournament Tee Off, Drive to Change at Grand Reserve Golf in Río Grande.
