Eliz Robles

For Eliz, the Youth of the Year title is an opportunity to represent the needs, aspirations and potential of young people from Boys & Girls Club of Carolina and Puerto Rico.

At the Club, she embraces arts, especially dancing and acting, as ways to raise awareness on people and influence them to take decisions. “Thanks to the Club, I have also written scripts for short films and plays aimed to help our communities to solve their problems,” says the high school student. “I hope arts also help me to get a scholarship to pay for college. My goal is to study law at Harvard Law School,” adds the social justice advocate.

Loving herself after suffering bullying and improving critical thinking are two life-changing lessons from her journey at the Club, Eliz points out.
