We are excited to have you join our youth leadership program called Youth of the Year. This program is designed to develop the next generation of leaders through a comprehensive, innovative, and holistic curriculum. It promotes values, personal development, and leadership skills.
Our Clubs or after-school service centers identify participants between 16 and 18 years old who have been named as Youth of the Month throughout the year. From the nominees, each Club selects its Youth of the Year, who then competes at the island level.
In April, a panel of professional leaders and public figures will choose Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico’s Youth of the Year. The winner receives scholarships for higher education, becomes the official spokesperson for Puerto Rican children and youth, and participates in the regional Youth of the Year competition for Boys & Girls Clubs of America in New York.
This program provides a unique opportunity for development, advocacy, and personal growth for our young participants!
