Ariday Santana

“I am a member of the Club since it opened its doors at my community, Luis Llorens Torres, nine years ago. The Club has watched me grow and developed since I was a seven-years old girl,” tells the senior student.

Through this amazing journey, Ariday acknowledge her participation in two leadership groups with the Club — Torch Club and Keystone Club — as the most rewarding experiences. “These groups flourished two qualities I had since I was little: being helpful and a leader. It is satisfying helping others like the Club has done with me,” says the artistic leader, who has stand out in dancing and acting at her Club and community.

As a spokesperson of young people, Adiray wants to raise awareness of digital literacy.  “After COVID-19, I found myself helpless with the use of computer, emails and technology to take my classes. Thanks to the Club, I learned how to handle the new reality post-pandemic… Other lesson I got after the crisis was the importance of family, education and socio-emotional health. Now, I don’t take them for granted and appreciate them even more,” reflects on.
