Virtual summer program for children and youth

San Juan, Puerto Rico, June 10, 2020) Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico (BGCPR), a community-based organization serving low-income children and youth, celebrates the launch of ZOOMer Brain Program. Through this summer program, the organization will continue offering their services through virtual platforms during this period of social isolation.

With a new summer program offering that includes fun, dynamic, and learning activities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), healthy habits, physical and recreational activities, art, career exploration, leadership groups, yoga, emotions management and reinforcement of academic and socio-emotional skills, organization staff will provide remote services to current and new participants of the 12 BGCPR Clubs.

“Participants who register for the ZOOMer Brain Program will receive a box at their home with the necessary materials to carry out the activities of the program, in addition to a commemorative shirt and other weekly incentives to complete activities. In addition, participants who cannot join the virtual platform, will receive a handbook so that they can go through the experience of the summer program”, said Laura Navarro, manager of educational projects at BGCPR.
