Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico (BGCPR) will host its first GOLF CHARITY TOURNAMENT Octavitas edition on Friday, January 19, 2024. The event will take place at the Grand Reserve Golf Club (Coco Beach) in Río Grande, starting at 7:30 a.m. with “Shot Gun” at 8:30 a.m.
The focal point of the golf tournament is to benefit BGCPR’s Food Program, which provides hot and nutritious meal to children and youth participating in the programs and services offered through its 18 service centers from Mayagüez to Vieques.
“In 2023 alone, our Food Program has served over 35,000 meals. It is unfortunate that in Puerto Rico, 6 out of every 10 children and young people lack access to adequate food. That is why our food program provides a plate of hot and nutritious food to each participant before their day ends,” says Olga Ramos Carrasquillo, president of BGCPR.
The tournament beckons participants of all skill levels, from novices eager to learn the ropes to seasoned pros honing their craft. Whether you’re a golf enthusiast or a supporter of the cause, join us for a day of camaraderie, skill, and sunshine.
