OPEN HOUSE AT BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF PUERTO RICO’S SERVICE CENTERS

From Mayagüez to Vieques with free educational programs and experiences for children and youth.

(San Juan, Puerto Rico – December 9, 2023) The non-profit, community-based organization, Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico (BGCPR), will open the doors of its service centers for visits and enrollment tomorrow, Wednesday, January 10, to welcome families with children and youth between the ages of 6 and 18 starting at 3:00 p.m. For their early age programs, services began on January 9 for Early Head Start and will start on January 16 for Head Start during daytime hours.

“From Mayagüez to Vieques, our 11 Clubs offer comprehensive educational and socio-emotional development experiences after school hours. In a creative and safe environment, students learn while having fun and receive a hot and nutritious meal that complements their well-being and development,” expressed Gabriel Hernández, director of operations.

He added that “in the case of our early age programs from their 7 centers in the Santurce area in San Juan, serving children from 2 months to 4 years and 11 months old, Early Head Start initiated its services on January 9 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and for Head Start, they will start on January 16 at the same hours.”
