(San Juan, Puerto Rico – October 15, 2020) Every year, Dale Carnegie Training offices worldwide reserve the week of October 22 – the day the organization was founded – to impact the lives of youth and educators from their communities. Over the past four years, they have partnered with different organizations to collaborate with disadvantaged youth and essential professionals to enhance communication and human relations skills.
“In 2020, Dale Carnegie selected Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico for the “Global Day of Giving” event, and we are happy to be able to contribute to an organization that has shown a genuine and high-level commitment to the social development of thousands of young people who live in disadvantaged communities on the Island. We are happy to share our founder’s teachings to solidify a foundation for success”, said Mara Sierra, Dale Carnegie’s Chief Commercial Officer in Puerto Rico.
She added that “due to the challenges imposed by COVID-19 this year, all of us at Dale Carnegie reaffirm more than ever our commitment to work with individuals and organizations that help youth gain confidence and inspire leadership with a series of events online or in person.”
Olga Ramos Carrasquillo, president of Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico (BGCPR), thanked Dale Carnegie for the selection and added “Workshops like these, aimed at helping our youth improve their communication skills, strengthen their interpersonal skills and develop personal vision are transformative. In the historical moment we are living, the cycles of change and the rapid advances that the world has experienced lately, now more than ever our youth and educators will make the most of these development and learning experiences.”
